Am not saying South Korea is all bad, I would love to visit the place but not so sure after hearing about some ill effects of a toxic culture.
Possibly high house prices & toxic work culture .. basically people who have little social space or time will become isolated and paranoid.
These same culture effects seem to be expressed in S Korean films I remember seeing.
Also in K Pop recent mad stories how K pop stars are not allowed to be seen with partners / relationships / or (god forbid) get married ..
Basically because their fan groups are soo toxic they expect their celebrity idols to be seen as single. There is something seriously wrong going on here similar to a western medieval mindset, I also note – North Korea is not doing so well either.
