Day 57 of the protests. Happening right now in Minsk there are large groups of protesters out to display a clear rejection of dictator Lukashenko who committed Belarus to fraudulent elections recently – claiming to have over 80% of the vote when he looks to have a much smaller vote base of around 10%.
Even after mass arrests and much violence towards demonstrators large columns of people keep gathering and walking from their neighbourhoods. They are marching together in order to not get detained. Mobile internet is down. Eight metro stations have been closed
Lukashenko is being held in power by Russia who have supported him with over $1.5 Billion in loans as well as a vast team of media and tech support straight from Moscow.
