I think anyone with a mind will be interested in what actually makes us conscious, what are the main theories, it might take me a couple of listens to this above clip before I understand fully the concepts of this book but I do like the title and the idea that all things are conscious.
What is the brain cruncher of consciousness? Can it be understood on purely naturalistic/materialistic grounds? What are the best arguments & rejoinders for the various theories that exist?
And does naturalism (despite all appearances) actually contain significant logical leaps when accounting for the existence of “mind”? All this, and much, much, much more is addressed in David Bentley Hart’s magisterial new work of philosophy.
